Curriculum Updates

Mapping the World with Art

Nov. 2011:  I checked all the links in the activity section and replaced those that were no longer available.  I posted all the old and new current links on the Mapping the World playlist on my channel: YouTube.com/eejm63.   ALSO, I found one link that had gone missing-- the link for the cut-and-assemble model of the Santa Maria.  If you would like a copy of the pattern, click here.

Dec. 2011: I have switched over to professionally printed CDs and DVDs.  I still duplicate them myself, but I don't have to put on labels any more.

The Elements

Nov. 2011:  I checked all the Internet links and updated any that were no longer functioning.  Any new links were posted as part of the Elements playlist on the Basement Workshop YouTube channel.

Dec. 2011:  I reworked the Periodic Kingdom drawing and posted it as a T-shirt design in my T-shirt store.  (The new design looks basically like the old one, just with everything neatened up a bit)  The only additions were a radioactive sign on the door of Technetium, and the Bromine Pond.  All Elements curricula that go out in 2012 will have this new drawing in place of the old one.  I tweaked the Periodic Kingdom fairly tale just a bit, too.   Also, I fixed an unbelievable "how-did-that-ever-happen" typo on the first page of the "Quick Six" cards where Fluorine had an "l" after the "F" symbol.  (The correct symbol is used consistently throughout the text.)  You can get both updates here.
