Cut-and-assemble mineral crystal shapes

Purpose of activity:  To learn in a hands-on way about the basic shapes found in mineral crystals

Description:  Cut and assemble six different geometric shapes

Target age group:  grades 4-12

Time allowance:  This really depends upon how efficient the assembler is.  Probably somewhere around 10 minutes per shape for the average student?

Materials:  copies of the pattern pages printed onto card stock, scissors, glue
