Sheep Herding Game

Target age group:  ages 7-11
 
Purpose of activity:  To learn about the the biology of sheep and sheep farming.
 
Description of activity:  Students answer multiple choice questions about the biology and farming of sheep and goats, then advance their border collies on the playing board, trying to chase the sheep token into their pen.
 
Materials you will need:   photocopies of the game pieces and question cards, scissors, glue stick or glue
 
NOTE:  This game can be adapted for group play using a large floor space.  If your group meets in a public space that has large floor tiles, you can set up a "field" instead of using the table-top game board.  More information provided in download.
