Cut-and-assemble viruses

Purpose of activity:  To learn about what a virus looks like (also to practice cut and assemble skills)

Description:  Two models of viruses, the T2 (bacteriophage) and the adenovirus, for you to cut out and assemble

Target age group:  grades 6-12

Time allowance:  Probably about 15-20 minutes per model, more if you want to decorate it.

Materials you will need:  Copies of the patterns printed onto card stock (can be any color), scissors, white glue (regular not school glue!), paper clips or clothespins to hold the joints while they dry, optional for decoration: spray paint, glitter, etc.
