Cut-and-assemble Mineral Crystal Shapes

Purpose of activity: To learn in a hands-on way about the basic shapes found in mineral crystals

Target age group: any (but a bit tricky to do with kids under 10)

Description of activity: Cut and assemble six different geometric shapes

Time needed: This really depends upon how efficient the assembler is. Probably somewhere around 10 minutes per shape for the average student?

Materials you will need: copies of the pattern pages printed onto card stock, scissors, glue
